FAQs:
What if my child is already receiving OT services?
If your child is already receiving OT services, we are likely working on improving the underlying specific skills and deficits that are impacting home or academic performance. If you are interested in targeting school participation, let your occupational therapist know.
What if my child also needs therapy, or is on the waitlist for OT services at OWL?
Your child will maintain their spot on the waitlist while services are provided. If you would like your child to receive therapy services through OWL, or are curious as to where they are on the waitlist, please e-mail team@owltherapyservices.com.
Do you provide legal advocacy or advice?
OWL Therapy Services does not provide legal advice or services. Our role is to offer education and guidance so you can better understand your child’s needs, potential supports, and feel confident advocating for them.
What happens if I want a higher tier after we get started?
You are welcome to upgrade services at any time by paying the difference of the cost.
Can I use FSA or HSA money to pay for this?
We can provide an invoice of services for potential reimbursement; contact your individual plan for confirmation of qualification. We can also provide a sample invoice to provide to your FSA or HSA to determine qualification before services are initiated.
Can I use grants or waivers to pay for services?
Yes! Eligibility may differ depending on the grant or waiver. We are happy to work with your caseworker or social worker if you are unsure on how to utilize these funds.
What is my role within these services?
Your role is to share your child’s needs and goals, and to collaborate with us. You remain the primary decision-maker in your child’s care. You are also the primary communicator with your child’s school.
